The Songs contained in this CD, Jothi Anusmarana Upahara 07-07-1987, are produced to commemorate the 20th death anniversary of Kalasuri H R Jothipala. He dies in July 07, 1987 exactly 20 years ago. All songs included were originally sung by H R Jothipala. Some of the songs selected here are carefully picked from songs not reproduced recently to give a favor of some of his classic hits to the current generation of Jothi fans. Special thanks go to all the original music directors, producers, lyricists, and the musicians of these songs. We also thank the new music director Mr Rohan Jayawardena for his fabulous recreations and new music arrangements. We do encourage the fans visit and listen to the originals of these songs through www.sinhalajukebox.org and experience the great voice of this late legend that fascinated millions of Sri Lankans with his own unique style of vocalizing for four decades and continuing well into two after his demise. These songs are not produced to be sold and will not be available for purchase anywhere except through this website.
